After defeating Kimbo Slice in fourteen seconds in their last-minute October matchup, Petruzelli made comments on a morning talk show the following day that some have interpreted as meaning that EliteXC attempted to influence the outcome of the fight by recommending that he not take the fight to the floor where Kimbo's lack of ground skills would be exposed.
