Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone is a mixed martial artist from Colorado. He grew up in an affluent part of Colorado Springs and considers Duane Ludwig to be one of his heroes. Attracted to high risk hobbies, Cerrone has sustained serious injuries bull riding and four-wheeling, but it has not kept him from doing well in MMA. However it did lead to a five year suspension from driving a vehicle.
Donald Cerrone is close friends with Leonard Garcia, who trains alongside Cerrone at Greg Jackson's camp in New Mexico.
Donald Cerrone graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 2001.
