Denis Kang is an MMA fighter born to a French mother and Korean father. He received his black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu from Marcus Soares and transitioned to mixed martial arts. He now trains in Florida as part of American Top Team.
Many of his fights have taken place in Asia in Pride FC and the Korean promotion Spirit MC. In a 2006 Pride FC bout he beat Murilo Rua by knockout 16 seconds into the first round. Another big name opponent of Kang's was Jason "Mayhem" Miller, whom he lost to in 2003 by rear naked choke.
