Brad Dillon is a mixed martial artist from North Carolina. Brad Dillon started training martial arts at age four and has a blackbelt in shotokan karate, kenpo karate and tae kwon do. Dillon also has training in shaolin kung fu, jeet kune do, boxing, muay thai, judo, sambo, wrestling, and has practiced Brazilian jiujitsu and mixed martial arts. Brad started in 2000 training Japanese jiu-jitsu with some Gracie jiu-jitsu under Paul Smith, an 8th degree Japanese jiujitsu blackbelt and Gracie jiu-jitsu brown belt, under whom he also studied the art of judo.
Brad fell in love with the Gracie jiujitsu system over the Japanese system decided to train in Californa at the Gracie academy and trained with Royce Gracie, Rorion Gracie, and Royler Gracie. Brad then joined a local Brazilian jiu-jitsu school headed by Professor Carlos "Caique" Elias, a fifth degree blackbelt under Rickson Gracie where he trained for three years and obtained his blue belt under Caique. Dillon has since received his purple belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Brad is the winner of the 2004 Grapplers Quest Southeast submission grappling Brazilian jiu-jitsu championships.
