Alexandre "Xande" Ribeiro is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu world champion who is making the transition to mixed martial arts. Along with his brother Saulo Ribeiro, also a multiple time BJJ world champion, the two run the University of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in San Diego, California.
At the 2008 BJJ World Championships, Xande Ribeiro repeated his 2006 victory over Roger Gracie to win the highly-coveted absolute division.
Xande Ribeiro normally competes in Brazilian jiu-jitsu at 205 pounds, but plans on fighting mixed martial arts at 185. When he is not participating in combat sports Xande Ribeiro is watching movies.
